happiness

In my whole life  :  I have never been happier.
Seriously.
And my life isn't especially ordinary.
I just have a baby I love,
a husband I adore,
and love to pay the bills.
(if only)

Look to the positive.
Be happy.

Sometimes you have to look deeper for the good.
Sometimes you have to put a smile on your face.
Just do it.
It's worth it.

also,
how is even possible to not be happy when this little one is smiling back at you?

maybe

maybe it's because I'm a mom..
maybe it's because I'm getting older..

I don't think so, though.

I like  love live music.
I like Kid Cudi.
I like Salt Lake City.

I don't like drunk teenagers.
I don't like vulgarity
(you know when 80% of what comes out of someone's mouth is vulgar.
- and left with a me wondering, 'how did that sentence even make sense')

I feel like the Twilight Concert Series has gone from an event to enjoy:
enjoying listening to good music, enjoying seeing friends, enjoying having fun

to an event to get drunk for teens.

I'm not a fan of seeing humans not acting humane.

regram from

(that was not even comparable to the drunken scene that husband and I witnessed while leaving the park that made me almost vomit and start crying)

Goodbye, Twilight Concert Series.
That was my last.
Please, favorite musicians:  don't play here.
I will pay more money to see you elsewhere.

Moral of the story:
If you drink, drink responsibly
If you swear, do so tastefully
(not 80-90% of the words out of your mouth)

That is all.

Welcome to Motherhood

He was asleep.
He, as in, my baby.

I had a doctors appointment.

So, I woke him up.

Crying in the carseat.
Crying in the car.
Crying in the parking lot.
Crying in the lobby.
Crying in the patient room.

I tried to nurse.

Still crying.
Burped. X3.
Crying.

Spit up all over me.
Spit up all over him.
Crying continues.
No burp cloth.
Used a diaper instead.

Crying in the check up room.
Screaming in the check up room.

Wouldn't calm down.
I rescheduled my appointment.

Walking to the car.
Someone parked too close.
Carseat barely fit.

Crying in the parking lot.
This time, it wasn't the baby.

This is twenty minutes post doctors office.
Also, I promise he has other clothes.
